WHO AM I?
Ariel Zaichick
Hello, thank you for visiting my website! I am originally from Mississauga, where I graduated from the RAP program in Voice at Cawthra Park Secondary School. I have over 16 years in classical voice training and I currently teach privately at my home studio, Music By Ariel.
After graduating from Queen’s University with a B.Mus in Voice in 2019, I made Kingston my home, teaching classes, conducting choirs and vocal directing singers of all ages.
Outside of the Music By Ariel studio, I currently teach at Sistema Kingston and Bottle Tree Productions. In the past, I have taught with Leahurst College, Music Together and The Mulberry Waldorf School.
I also have a passion for choral music and sing with the Melos Choir. While at Queen's. I directed the Queen's Chorus for 2 years and directed my very own Opera Cabaret with Bottle Tree Productions.
During the pandemic, in order to continue sharing performances during the pandemic, I created and edited videos to feature my students, both at Music By Ariel and Sistema Kingston.
Splitting my time between teaching and performing, some of my stage highlights include Olympia in “Les contes d’Hoffman” (Midwest Institute of Opera), Maria in “West Side Story in Concert” (Queen’s University Orchestra) as well as intensives such as The Russian Opera Workshop (Philadelphia), Druid City Opera Workshop (Alabama) and the Acting Opera Intensive (NYC).
I am currently accepting new students at my home studio on Montreal Street. I offer in-person lessons in the Kingston, ON area and online lessons to students all over the world! Contact me today to book your first lesson.
